More
connection.
pleasure.
intimacy.
depth.
You’re hungry for all of it. But if knowing how to access it were that simple, you’d already be sated. Somatic Sex and Relationship Therapy to help illuminate your path to more of everything in your intimate relationships.
Satisfying relationships with others start with a deeper connection to ourselves.
Our deepest yearning is for intimate connections. This is true whether we’re navigating new relationships or searching for excitement or peace in an enduring one. Yet, there are so many reasons we might disconnect from our authentic selves – and every single one impacts our relationships.
We develop behaviors that are counterproductive to the intimacy that we crave. We react emotionally or stand back and say “ok” when we mean “no.” We fail to see our partners as separate people or have grown so incredibly far apart that we struggle to see a path back to one another.
What I’m getting at is that adult romantic relationships can be fertile grounds for projecting and playing out unhealed dynamics from the past if we let them. But by exploring and embodying our authentic self? We can finally be fully present in our relationships. And this process all begins by reconnecting to our bodies.
Hear me out: healing our relationships absolutely involves the mind, but it does not begin there.
Mastering the mind alone is not the answer to holistic well-being. And this is exactly where most talk therapy falls short.
Oftentimes, we don’t realize that our many life experiences are held in our bodies. Somatic therapy works by tapping into your body's wisdom. Rather than leaving it out of the healing process, we explore movement. We invite sensations that allow us to connect with our unconscious, release the imprints of trauma, and regulate our nervous system. More regulation equals greater connection with self and greater capacity for more fulfilling intimacy.
